How to Find Fishing Apparel Exhibitors at Phase 3
Fishing apparel rarely has its own category, so search more broadly:
- Use the official exhibitor search before you travel. Search for “fishing shirt”, “UPF”, “sun protection”, “quick dry”, “sun hoodie”, and “rash guard”, not only “fishing”.
- Focus on sportswear and casual wear halls. UPF fishing shirts are usually made by factories that also produce running, cycling, and outdoor performance wear.
- Separate manufacturers from traders. Ask whether the company owns the cutting, sewing, and printing operations, and where the factory is. - Ask fishing-specific questions. Can they show a UPF test report for the fabric you want? Do they make vented button-up shirts, hooded shirts with face covers, and thumb-hole cuffs? What is the MOQ per style and color?
- Collect samples, not just catalogues. Hold the fabric, check the seams and logo application, and photograph labels and care instructions.
Booth conversations are short. If a supplier looks promising, the best next step is usually a factory visit while you are still in Guangdong.

A practical schedule for a fishing apparel buyer:
