Start with the fishing application

Choose a jacket for how your customers fish

A sea-fishing shell and a carp-fishing jacket do not need the same cut or pocket layout. Define the use first, then spend the budget on features that matter.

01

Rain & everyday fishing

Develop a lightweight shell for anglers moving between bank, boat and tackle shop. Start with the expected rain exposure, then select the shell, hood, front closure and pocket protection.

Focus: rain coverage, packability and ventilation.

02

Sea & boat fishing

Wind, spray and repeated casting call for secure closures and usable movement. Review hood adjustment, cuff sealing and pocket access, and select zips and fittings for the intended marine use.

Focus: wind protection, secure storage and casting room.

03

Carp & bankside fishing

A jacket for long sessions needs to work when the angler sits, bends and reaches for equipment. Consider a longer rear hem, accessible pockets and room for a fleece underneath.

Focus: seated coverage, quiet fabric and layering.

Fabric + seams + closures

Specify the weather protection your jacket needs

Choose protection as a complete garment system. For sustained rain fishing, the material barrier, seams, hood and openings must work together; a surface finish alone is a different proposition.

01

Waterproof shell

Select the fabric barrier and finished construction for the intended rain exposure. Agree the performance target and supporting evidence before using a waterproof claim on the garment.

02

Windproof construction

Review the fabric alongside the front fastening, hood, cuffs and hem. A protective shell still needs room to cast and an appropriate way to manage heat.

03

DWR finish

Durable water repellent (DWR) is a surface treatment that encourages water to bead. Specify care instructions and maintenance; surface beading alone does not establish a waterproof jacket.

04

Seam taping

Plan seam-sealing tape for the selected fabric and lining construction. Review tape adhesion and intersections around the hood, shoulders and sleeves in the complete sample.

05

Waterproof zip options

Choose a zip against its supplier specification. A coated water-resistant zip is not automatically watertight; discuss storm protection, zip ends and the position of each opening.

06

Breathability & ventilation

Balance rain protection with comfort during walking and casting. Discuss fabric breathability, lining and protected ventilation openings rather than selecting on weight alone.

Fit for movement and midlayers

UK sizing with room for cold-weather layers

Develop the fit from finished-garment measurements and the layers your customer will wear. A UK size label does not define chest ease, sleeve reach or the room needed over a fleece.

Choose an athletic, regular or relaxed silhouette, then check casting, bending and seated coverage in the sample. A slightly longer rear hem can improve coverage without making the front too bulky.

  • Chest, shoulder, sleeve, body and hem measurements
  • Hood and collar fit with the intended midlayer
  • Cuff adjustment and sleeve reach when casting
  • Men’s and women’s pattern requirements, where needed
  • Approved grading across your ordered size range

A retail product under your name

Private-label jackets, finished for your brand

Plan the logo and retail details with the garment construction. Branding, labels and packaging should describe the same approved product when it reaches your shop or warehouse.

01

Brand placement

Choose embroidery, transfers, patches or woven branding to suit the shell. Plan placement before cutting so decoration does not interfere with a protected seam or pocket.

02

Neck, size & care labels

Develop your brand label and size identification, then prepare fibre-content and care wording for the actual shell, lining and trims. Approve the final label artwork before bulk.

03

Colours & trims

Coordinate shell colours, lining, zip tape, pulls and adjustment hardware. Compare stock colours with custom matching and account for any separate material minimums.

04

Retail packaging

Specify hangtags, barcode artwork, individual bags, size stickers and carton assortments for your retail or warehouse intake. Keep the same product identity across every item.

Approve one complete garment

Develop and approve your jacket sample

Start with a complete jacket sample so you can assess how the fabric, pattern, trims and finishing work together. We quote the development cost and lead time against your actual specification.

  1. 01

    Review your brief

Send a reference jacket or drawing, fishing application, target price position and intended launch date. Tell us whether you need a light rain shell, a layering jacket or a lined version.

  2. 02

    Define the construction

Agree fabric direction, measurements, hood, pockets, cuffs, closures and branding. Identify which seams need protection and where decoration will sit before the pattern is finalised.

  3. 03

    Make a complete sample

Evaluate the finished garment for hand feel, fit, movement, pocket access and finishing. Sample cost and timing reflect the pattern, fabric, trims and construction you select.

  4. 04

    Approve the production version

Record revisions in one measurement and construction file. Confirm the revised sample, size grading, colour references and packaging before releasing the bulk order.

Start a focused outerwear range

Custom fishing jacket MOQ and pricing

Our starting MOQ is 100 pieces per style and colour. Sizes can normally be mixed within an approved style; we confirm the size breakdown with your quotation.

Compare 100, 250 and 500-piece quantities using the same specification. This makes the effect of order volume clear without changing the fabric or trim quality between quotes.

Stock fabric colours can reduce development work. Custom dyeing, specialist hardware or bespoke packaging may introduce separate minimums, which we identify before you commit.

Direct production / Export coordination

From our Dongguan factory to your UK delivery address

We manufacture at our directly operated factory on Xintai Road, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, China. Yiwu Yihui Trading Company is our dedicated export entity for overseas business, export documentation, and international shipments.

01 / Production

Confirm the order schedule

Agree the bulk lead time after sample approval and material confirmation. Include labels, packing and final inspection in the planned dispatch date, rather than treating sewing completion as shipment readiness.

02 / Freight

Compare shipping routes

Consider courier for samples and air or sea for bulk. The quotation uses final carton weight and volume, your postcode and the date stock must arrive. We quote mainland and other destinations against the specific address.

03 / Delivery

Agree the included costs

Specify the delivery term, handover point and which freight, import and onward-delivery charges are included. Prepare the commercial invoice, packing list and carton information for the agreed shipping arrangement.

Construction you can inspect

Review the details before ordering

Ask to see the inside as well as the outside of your complete sample. Review stitching, seam-tape attachment where specified, hood shape, cuff closure and each zip end.

Check your branding and pocket access with the jacket on. In the approved sample file, record the final material, measurements and trim choices that the bulk order must follow.

Questions about custom fishing jackets for the UK

Get the order structure, product requirements and delivery plan clear before development starts.

What is the MOQ for custom fishing jackets for the UK?

The starting MOQ is 100 pieces per style and colour. Sizes can normally be mixed within an approved style. We confirm the size breakdown and any separate minimums for custom-dyed fabric, specialist trims or packaging in the quotation.

Can we develop waterproof and windproof versions?

Yes. Share the intended fishing conditions and protection target so we can propose a shell and construction. Fabric, seams, openings and closures must be considered together. Any published performance rating needs evidence for the specification you approve.

Can you add seam taping and waterproof zips?

These can be included in the development brief, subject to the selected material and construction. We specify compatible tape and the actual zip model. Coated water-resistant zips and fully watertight closures are different products, so we agree the requirement before quoting.

Can the fit accommodate fleece and other midlayers?

Yes. We work from your finished-garment measurements and planned layering system. The sample review checks chest ease, sleeve reach, shoulder movement and rear-hem coverage rather than relying on a generic UK size label.

Can you supply our labels, hangtags and packaging?

Yes. We can develop neck, size and care labels, approved branding, hangtags and individual retail packaging. Share your artwork and barcode requirements. Costs are itemised against the final specification and order quantity.

How are samples, production lead time and UK shipping quoted?

We quote sample development after reviewing the fabric, pattern and feature list. The bulk schedule is agreed after sample and material approval. Shipping is quoted separately using carton weight, volume, delivery postcode, delivery terms and required arrival date.
